The Guerilla Trails cover newly-promoted territory with magnificent natural splendor, astonishing landscape and a time-honored lifestyle of its people. The welcoming residents will touch your heart with a hospitality that makes Nepal famous.

The trekking routes navigate through remote and scenic terrain with low population density in the Nepal's Mid-Western hills. The land is blessed with wide-ranging natural resources and biodiversity, exemplified by its wildlife (the route passes through Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve) and captivating waterfalls, rivers, caves, and lakes. To the north are the towering Himalaya. The elevation of the journey ranges from 830 m at Beni and Sulichaur to 3915 m at Phalgune Pass with astonishing views of Pyutha Himal, Gujra and Dogari peaks of the Dhaulagiri Range. The centerpiece of the region is a solitary Sisne Peak (5849 m), vibrantly rising above the hills and valleys.

Many ethnicities enrich the trails with a blend of traditions, customs, and lifestyles. Magar culture is a unique feature of the northern and eastern sections of this area. Magar have distinguishing customs and a unique language of the Tibeto-Burman family. As the prevailing group in this region, their lifestyle remains largely undiluted.

By choosing to travel here, you will be spreading tourism wealth to lower income people and serving to alleviate poverty in a magnificent yet heretofore overlooked region. The trail passes many historical sites, some of them scenes of major clashes. It is now an area of immense peace, beauty and hospitality that is open, ready and willing to host tourists.

If you are looking for a challenging adventure in Nepal, away from the busier routes, the guerrilla trails await you. This region is for tourists seeking a unique alternative to the popular areas.
