Itinerary

We will pick you up from the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to the hotel. Our representative will brief you about the day program quickly and leave you to relax. There is not much planned for today. In the late evening, you will meet with the team over a welcome dinner.

After breakfast, you will go on guided sightseeing led by one of our best tour guides. During the tour, you will explore ancient temples, shrines, monasteries, palaces, and courtyards. This tour will give you an overall picture of Nepali culture, art, architecture, and history. Later, meet with the trek guide and prepare for the venture.

You will take an early morning flight to Pokhara. It will be an amazing flight with great mountain views. From Pokhara, you will drive to Kande in a private vehicle and begin trekking towards Landruk. The trail ascends to Australian Cam and continues along the ridgeline to the beautiful Gurung village.

Leaving Landruk behind, the trail descends all the way down to a river. Crossing the river on a bridge, you will steeply ascend through dense forests of bamboo and farming lands. We will take a small break at Jhinu Danda. This village has natural hot springs. From here, you will climb to the crest of the ridge and walk towards Chomrong village.

From Chomrong, the trail descends to the river and ascends to the other side. You will cross a bridge and walk towards Sinuwa. In the peak season, the route gets crowded with trekkers from all around the world and donkeys. From Sinuwa, you will walk for another hour and a half to reach Bamboo.

The trail goes through dense and damp forests. You will ascend on a steep path and reach the Himalaya Hotel. From here onwards, the forest opens up and steeply climbs through dense forests before reaching Hinku Cave. Further, trek and reach Deurali to spend the night.

After breakfast, you will begin ascending through a river bed and continue trekking along a steep mountain-side. The trail passes through Machhapuchhre Base Camp. You can see wonderful views of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna South, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangpaurna, Mt. Nilgiri, and many others on the way. From MBC, you will trek and reach ABC.

The trail from Annapurna Base Camp descends to Sinwa. You will walk gradually on a downhill route through a forested path. Along the way, you can see beautiful views of snow-capped mountains.

Leaving Sinwa, you will walk along dense forests and descend to Masque. Further, passing by small settlement areas, you will reach Nayapul. It is the ending point of the trek. From here, you will drive back to Pokhara. The drive will be short, and you can spend the rest of the exploring around Lakeside Market.

Pokhara is a beautiful city. We have included an extra day here to let you enjoy the city and its tourist places. For your information, Pokhara is the hub of adventurous outdoor activities like paragliding, ultra-light flights, canoeing, mountain cycling, etc. So, if you are interested in doing any such activities, let us know in advance. For the tour, you can visit Davis Falls, Bat Cave, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum, etc.

Today, we will take an early flight back to Kathmandu. During the flight, you will get to witness breathtaking aerial views of snow-capped Himalayan mountains. You will have an entire day free in Kathmandu. Go shopping, explore tourist areas, visit the spa, and pack your luggage. In the late evening, we will meet you at the farewell dinner organized by the company.

How hard is Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a moderate venture. You do not need previous trekking experience to trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Anyone with good health and fitness can do this trek without any issue. Solo trekkers have to be more careful of altitude sickness and terrain during the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek covers approximately 110 kilometers of distance. You will be walking around 10 km daily. Then there is 210 kilometers distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara.

You will be following rugged terrain during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek 12 Days. The trail ascends and descends through lush forests and remote villages. You will be passing by many steep and rocky sections too. 

You must be able to walk 6 to 7 hours a day. Likewise, the region is not developed when it comes to modernization. You have to do with the limited facilities and simple lifestyle. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek route is doable but demands patience and determination.

Altitude Sickness

Begin a high altitude trek Annapurna Base Camp Trek does involve changes of altitude sickness. What permits do I need for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

You have to get the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) permit and TIMS Card to do Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Both permits are available in Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

ACAP permit cost for foreigners: 3,000 NRS (Approx. USD 30)

ACAP permit cost for SAARC nationals: 200 NRS

TIMS card cost: 1,000 NRS (Approx. USD 10)

Annapurna Base Camp Trek best time

Annapurna Base Camp Trek's best time is spring and autumn. The months from March to April and October to November see the perfect weather conditions, which make trekking in these months fantastic. You don't have to deal with the unstable weather and bad climate. The views are clear and fabulous. 

Similarly, you can also trek in the early winter (December to February). The climate will be extremely cold, and the terrain involves snow walking, however the mountain views during winter are to die for.
